Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, community memberships, and content will be permanently removed.
Before You Delete
Please review the following before proceeding:
- All your community memberships will be revoked.
- All your posts, comments, messages, and shared media will be permanently deleted.
- If you own any communities, ownership must be transferred to another member or the community will be archived.
- Any pending marketplace transactions or payouts will be processed before deletion.
- Active subscriptions will be cancelled with no refund for the current billing period.
- Your profile and all associated data will be irreversibly erased from our servers.
If you're experiencing an issue with your account or a specific community, consider contacting support first — we may be able to help without deleting your account.
Method 1: Delete via the App
Open the CommunityXO app and navigate to Settings (gear icon in the top-right corner of your profile screen).
Tap Account → scroll to the bottom of the page.
Tap the Delete Account button (displayed in red).
You'll be asked to verify your identity via OTP sent to your registered email or phone number.
Review the summary of data being deleted. Type "DELETE" to confirm. Tap Permanently Delete My Account.
Method 2: Delete via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:
Include the following in your email:
- Your registered email address or phone number.
- Your display name on CommunityXO.
- Reason for deletion (optional, helps us improve).
Our team will send a verification code to your registered email or phone to confirm your identity before proceeding with deletion.
Deletion Timeline
Immediate: Your account is deactivated and hidden from all communities. You are logged out of all devices.
Within 7 days: All your content (posts, comments, messages, media) is removed from communities.
Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently purged from our servers and backups. This process is irreversible.
Grace period: If you change your mind within 7 days of deletion, you can contact support to reactivate your account. After 7 days, reactivation is not possible.
Data That Is Retained
Even after account deletion, CommunityXO may retain the following data as required by law:
- Transaction records (payment history) — retained for 7 years for tax and audit compliance.
- Legal hold data — if your account is subject to an active legal proceeding, relevant data may be preserved until the matter is resolved.
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics data — data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for platform improvement.
