CommunityXO maintains an ABSOLUTE ZERO TOLERANCE policy toward Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
1. Our Commitment
CommunityXO is deeply committed to the safety and protection of children. As a multi-community platform serving diverse organisations worldwide — including educational institutions, religious bodies, and NGOs — we recognise our heightened responsibility to safeguard minors.
This document outlines our published Child Safety Standards in compliance with Google Play policies, Apple App Store guidelines, India's POCSO Act 2012, the IT Act 2000, COPPA (US), and GDPR (EU) age-of-consent provisions.
2. Age Restrictions
- Minimum age: Users must be at least 16 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in their jurisdiction) to create an account.
- Parental consent: Users aged 16–18 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent.
- Community-level restrictions: Community Owners may set higher minimum age requirements for their communities.
- Age verification: Implemented during registration. Communities handling minors' data must enable enhanced verification.
3. Zero Tolerance for CSAE/CSAM
CommunityXO maintains absolute zero tolerance for:
- Any imagery, video, or content depicting child sexual abuse or exploitation.
- Grooming behaviour — adults building trust with minors for exploitation.
- Solicitation of minors for sexual purposes.
- Sharing, distributing, or storing CSAM.
- Sextortion involving minors.
- Sex trafficking of children.
- Any content that sexualises minors in any way.
4. Detection & Prevention
CommunityXO implements multiple layers of protection:
- AI-powered content moderation: Automated scanning of uploaded media using industry-standard CSAM detection (hash matching against NCMEC databases).
- Keyword filtering: Configurable automated keyword filters for inappropriate content.
- Behavioural analysis: AI monitoring for grooming patterns in messaging.
- User reporting: One-tap reporting on any content, message, or profile with "Child Safety" as a priority category.
- Human review: Trained moderators review flagged content within 24 hours; CSAM-related reports are prioritised and reviewed immediately.
- Proactive monitoring: Regular audits of communities that interact with minors.
5. Reporting Child Safety Concerns
If you encounter any content or behaviour that endangers a child:
1In-App Report: Tap the "⋮" menu on any content → select "Report" → choose "Child Safety" category. This triggers an immediate priority review.
2Email: Send details to hello@communityxo.com with subject line "Child Safety Report". Include screenshots and relevant details.
3Emergency: If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement first, then report to us.
Response Time: Child safety reports are acknowledged within 24 hours. Reports involving imminent danger are escalated to law enforcement immediately.
6. Enforcement Actions
Upon confirmation of a child safety violation, CommunityXO will:
- Immediately remove the offending content.
- Permanently ban the offending user from the entire platform (all communities).
